A wedding weekend in NYC: New York Wedding Photographers: Chowen Photography

Sarah and Mandeep had the most amazing wedding weekend bringing their friends and family from all over the world to celebrate in New York. We absolutely loved getting to know them as well as photographing all of the love and fun that happened through the weekend. The rehearsal dinner began at Junoon Restaurant in the Flatiron District in New York City where all their guests got to know one another. The wedding preparations the next day began in NYC, then traveled 30 miles north of to the Tarrytown, NY. The wedding ceremony and reception took place at Blue Hill at the historic Stone Barns. What a beautiful place to have a wedding as it is almost like a secret place, back in time, where you can get out of the city and enjoy the abundance of quiet nature and organic living. Daniel and I had lunch there one day and it was simply amazing with the unique combination of ingredients and scenery that was perfection.

The amazing team of Francesca Events were the best to work with and we fell in love with them instantly. They made Sarah and Mandeep’s entire weekend seamless and we enjoyed working with them immensely. And it is always a pleasure to work with the talented David Beahm Design team as well. Their talent is unmatched.

I love how Sarah pulled out her mother’s wedding dress and album as she was getting ready at her parent’s home. It was very sentimental and sweet. We loved the circular ceremony for guests to be a complete part of their marriage vows. It was a very fun evening. The day after brunch was a great way to end the wedding weekend at the bright and cheerful Claudette restaurant in Greenwich Village.

We were more than honored to photograph their wedding. It all started with her sister knowing our work. What a huge compliment.
