Celebrating Independence Day in a small american town helps remind me of so many things this country has done right and how lucky we are to live here. It helps to honor those that have lived and died making changes for the good of americans everywhere as well as watch my children and friend’s children reaping the benefits of all that hard work. I can be proud and thankful, but also humble that I have still not given back everything that I have received, thus making the 4th of July a launching pad of sorts each year to become a better person for those around me and generations to come.
