We had an absolutely wonderful time as a family enjoying a small town celebration on the 4th of July in Durango, Colorado.  There was so much going on that day throughout the town that we could hardly decide what to do.  We finally went out to eat, watched the parade, went to the street dance and listened to music, then watched fireworks from downtown.  It was definitely a spectacular fireworks display too.  By far the best Durango has put on…ever.  Nice job Durango!  We were very impressed.

Blu is THE fabulous clothing boutique in Durango, Colorado.

This was a shoot for their website portfolio and marketing materials.  It also showcased the gorgeous Nina and the generations of her family members and their style.

It was fun to work on this with Nina and her Blu girls.   She has created a lifestyle following and it is perfect for Durango as she brings a world-traveler vantage point to her boutique.  She and her team always showcase beautiful Blu-girls around the world in their athletic and fun endeavors.

Nina is a giver of style, her passion, and her time.  She also participates in Richard Branson’s  Virgin Unite.

Blu’s philosophy says it all:

While I catch up on blog posts from family sessions from last year through now, I will also be posting snippets of recent sessions and our life.

Over Memorial weekend, Durango is in full swing with the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic along with loads of fun things to do for families.

We decided to take the girls to the carnival and it was a blast.

We had so much fun and Daniel documented the girls and I having fun.

I had the privilege of being able to document some fun photographs of the lovely production and sweet dancers that graced the stage at Fort Lewis Concert Hall.

Our daughters are students at Durango Dance and we highly recommend their dance studio.  It is all about the LOVE of dance and inspiring their students.  How can you not love that!?!

Catching up on blog posts from last Summer….

There is nothing more fun than documenting one of my favorite families.  You might remember them from a few years ago on the blog when I photographed their maternity and then their son as a newborn.  What a joy to see their family grow by the birth of their gorgeous daughter.

   It is always so fun to see how siblings react to their new baby sister or brother.  There is always a unique reaction.  This guy was all about the love though, so it was great.

I love this family and was of course honored to be welcomed into their home again and capture these moments for them to remember forever.

Coming soon is their session a few months after this newborn shoot.
